Miracles in a Winter Wonderland

The Snow is fallin' and friends are callin'...
actually I have been calling my family to tell them that we are getting 8 inches of snow! Pretty exciting. The meteorologist has been "calling wolf" all week and everyone has been freaking out. But today is the day.

"I love the snow! I LOVE IT!"--Roger Barnick

This is the view from outside my window, you can't see it but there are millions of little snowflakes falling . You know what they say, little snowflakes, big accumulation.
Rizzo has not been happy about the temperature change from Mississippi. He is not to be seen without his stylish "bumble-bee sweater." I think that he is about to go for the layered look with two sweaters.
See how pathetic he looks. He is always trying to sneak under the covers. We stuck his doggy bed right by the heater. I think he is concentrating on growing more hair.

I made MORE cupcakes this morning for an open house that is happening at Roger's office.

I thought that these were appropriate.

Now for the miracle part of the blog.

1. The lady who is going to do our home study lives in Tacoma and we were going to need to pay her a total of $828 for her mileage over several visits. We asked the agency if there was anyone closer and there wasn't. So they talked to Thea, our agent and she said that she would be willing to cut the amount in half...or meet us halfway...or...just call her and we will work something out.

2. We have had a great response from people that we are meeting, mainly at church because that is were we are meeting people right now. I have had two ladies come up to me and volunteer their time and ideas to helping. It is so great to have support in a new place. --Thanks

3. The orders are coming in, mainly from my family, but every dollar helps!

Roger and Melissa,
I have just finished skimming your blog (I'm at work so reading it in its entirety would not be considered school related email!!) I am so excited for you both and can't wait for you to be called to travel to meet your two new additions! Congrats on your adoption news!
