Happy Love Day

Happy love day to all! Even though this is a little late.

There is a little V-day tradition in our home, (that is safe to post about). I make Roger the yummiest Valentine's Day Chocolate-Red-Hot- Rice -Crispy-Taisties. This year I decided to kick it up a notch. Really, I sold a few to help our adoption fund grow, so I needed to kick it up a notch.

I am also fortunate enough to have a very dear friend named Kat. She sent me a lovely valentines day card and a package with several prizes in it. I loved it.

Several very nice cards, and a lovely necklace that she found at an estate sale.

Not to mention these wonderful cupcake toppers.

She found these at an estate sale also.

One set for her, one set for me. She has a picture of how she used hers at her BLOG. I can't decide what I like the best. It brightened my day so much. Thanks Kat.

Adoption Update! Adoption Update! Adoption Update!

I always expect the federal government, or any bureaucracy for that matter, to be so slow and inefficient that I would rather pull out my own front tooth with a shoe lace than deal with them. So, imagine my surprise when we got our FBI background check in the mail yesterday, about a week and a half after it was mailed to them. It turns out that neither Roger, Bonnie, nor myself have any arrests (on file) as of February 12th. Good news. We are almost completely done with the paper work part. I still have to get my blood drawn though. UGGGHHH....

I just thought these pictures were funny.
