Home Study Anyone?

So, yesterday Roger and I drove up to Centralia, WA, (about an hour and fifteen min. from our house), went into a Starbucks and promptly ran into our Social Worker. Now, those of you who know us know that we don't drink coffee, so you guessed it. Our first Home Study visit. Our Social Worker's name is Thea and she is really cool. Very fun and supportive and nothing uncomfortable about it. That is, so far. There has to be three visits and the next one is going to be in our home next Saturday. It turns out that Roger and I are ahead in the paper chase game and she is ready and willing to get it all done quick. The last step to a referral...

In case you couldn't tell this is a picture I took of Roger, jumping for joy.

In other news, Roger and I have some high school friends who live in the area and they came over last night to play games. Fun for all. Roger and I made popcorn balls (cheep and delish...what could be better?) and Michelle made the yummiest black bean and corn salsa.

Pictured here is the ever incorrigible Phil, the fluffy Bug (he is getting into a lot of pictures lately...suspicious), Dr. Smooth himself--TJ and his lovely and extra nice wife Michelle. Who toasted her own chips to go with her yummy salsa.

oh....we were wondering what happened to that silly alligator y'all gave Gabe (you remember the one you put in water and watch it grow?). Actually, after it grew to be about 2 feet, I noticed it had mysteriously disappeared from it's bucket of water. Gabe explained to me that he figured it would be happier in the sewer, so he released it down the storm drain at our neighbors house. We keep hoping that after the next rain storm, wild stories of an alligator swimming in the creek are going to surface amongst the neighborhood gossip.
