Goodbye Texas... Helloooo Land of Enchantment (aka NM). How exciting can a hole in the ground be? Honestly, it was just about the highlight of our trip.
Imagine decending 800 ft below the surface and seeing vast caverns full of bizarre formations and intricate caves and pathways.
Here are a few photos, but it really doesn't capture it at all.
Melissa also got chased back to our motel room by an agressive racoon in New Mexico. I wish I had a photo of it, but unfortunately the camara was in the truck and to get it meant going outside where the racoon was giving us the stare down. Here is an artist's rendering of the perp. (actually it's from GoogleImages)

Moving on down the road we made a
quick stop in White Sands (still New Mexico).
It was getting towards sunset so we didn't stay long.
Our pups really loved it and ran up and down the dunes like little Egyptian desert rats.
As the sun set (sat?) we made our way to Las Cruces. We ate the best darn Mexican Food in the West and found ourselves at an artsy little B&B where Melissa squirted herself in the face trying to use the
bidet.
I was a little confused by the extra fixture in the bathroom myself. (They aren't as simple as they look.)
Our dogs even had their own backyard to in which to romp.

I'm giggling about the racoon chasing Melissa. I guess he just thought she was super hot and wanted to get a closer look.
So funny.
Bug and Rizzo look super happy.
Melissa, I called but I'm thinking you probably changed your number. Call me so we can catch up. I'm sorry I've been a slacker.
