Howdeee-
It's not an easy task to get on the road when you're moving 3,000 miles, but after a couple very long days of prep we are officially on the road. We made 540 miles the first day and arrived at Tom & Olivia & Gabe & George's place in Ft. Worth, TX (aka Cow Town for y'all up north).
Gabe is 4 years old and has been having a blast with our canine traveling companions- Bug and Rizzo.
We're taking a Sunday break and staying here through the day. Church this morning and a family dinner this evening; I guess we are honorary Texans for the day. We need to average 300 miles each day to arrive in Vancouver on Wednesday and Selah on Thanksgiving. Tomorrow will find us in Carlsbad, New Mexico.

I'm so happy that you guys are doing well and keeping us updated. I'm sorry that I didnt' wake up to see you both off. I've been depressed since you left. Oh, how I miss my Melissa-friend. Anyhow, I think saying goodbye would have been too embarassing for me. I don't like to cry infront of my friends and I would have bawled my head off. I love you both. Give Rizzo and Bug a hug for me.
