BUSY WEEKEND

This weekend was particularly busy because we drove to our home town, about 3 1/2 hours away, to pick up Bonnie's stuff. We also acquired a sofa for ourselves and a table.

My mom's birthday is Monday, and Roger had the great idea to get her a cake. Mom and I were picking up a few things, so I had her take a pick of her choice of cake. But while we were out, sneaky Dad and sneaky Roger bought her a cake as well. Yumm...

We only had big candles, but my mom said that it was best that we didn't put her age in candles on the cake because it would start a fire.

Here is my dad after moving all the stuff. He still has a smile on his face.

In other news....

Roger's Mom is being a great recruit for our adoption efforts. She is remodeling her kitchen and all of the stuff that she is cleaning out is going into boxes for a yard sale in the spring. She has sent out an all-call for stuff. She is a great motivator/organizer.
