Well, we found a reason to start up a blog and what a reason it is! After much thought, prayer and research we had decided to dive into the exciting world of international adoption. We are super excited to bring 2 new little ones into our home and into our family. (Also, into YOUR family for many of you) We know that having kids in this unconventional way leads to many questions... we will be doing our best to bring all those interested along on our journey so you can experience the vision that has captured our hearts.
With pregnancy, the family and friends get updates on all the major milestones:
- "We're pregnant!"
- "Due date is ____!"
- "It's a girl/boy!"
- "Mom is getting much larger!"
- "Help! We need a babysitter!" and so forth.
As adopting parents we are going to have milestones that are more like:
- "We're adopting!"
- "We're Adopting from Ethiopia"
- "We found the perfect agency"
- "Help! we are buried under a mountain of paperwork"
- "We are waiting for the perfect match"
- "We found our kids!"
- "We're traveling next month!"
- "We are all back home"
- "Help! we need a babysitter!"
